The Patient Interface in Recollect is a dedicated environment built specifically for patient use- independent, secure, and distraction-free. It operates as a standalone mode within the app, accessible only through a customizable 4-digit PIN set by the caregiver. Once activated, this mode restricts navigation to patient-specific tools only, ensuring that sensitive account information, caregiver settings, and medical data remain uneditable by the patient. Within the interface, patients can access their essential features: Relative Contact Cards, the Memory Carousel, Relative Recollection, and Portrait Mode, which transforms larger devices like iPads into passive digital picture frames that cycle through familiar photos and moments.

Designed with accessibility and clarity in mind, the Patient Interface includes light and dark modes, large buttons, and a simplified layout optimized for ease of use across varying cognitive stages. The goal is to provide a secure, reliable space where patients can interact with memories and loved ones without risk of confusion or unintended actions, empowering independence while maintaining complete caregiver control.
