Welcome to Recollect

Recollect (“the App”) is provided by Mythos United LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). The App is designed to support individuals living with dementia, their caregivers, and their families by helping manage tasks, information, contacts, and memories.

By using Recollect, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.

1. Accounts

To access certain features of Recollect, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use. You agree that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

2. User Content

You may submit information, photos, events, medication details, mood records, and other data (“User Content”) through the App. You retain ownership of your User Content but grant Mythos United LLC a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display it solely for the purpose of delivering App functionality.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your User Content does not violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights, including intellectual property rights and privacy rights.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the App or its services. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, servers, or systems.

Using the App for unlawful, harmful, harassing, abusive, or fraudulent purposes.

Uploading or transmitting viruses, malware, or any content that interferes with the App’s operation.

4. Disclaimers

The App is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All content and features are intended to support, not replace, the expertise and judgment of healthcare professionals. Always consult qualified medical providers with questions about care plans, diagnoses, or medications.

5. Limitation of Liability

The App and all services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Mythos United LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mythos United LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data or profits, arising from or related to your use of the App.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Recollect at our discretion, especially in the case of a breach of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time in the App’s settings. Upon deletion, all associated User Content is permanently removed from our systems in accordance with our Data Retention Policy.

7. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after updates become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Mythos United LLC is registered, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree to resolve any legal dispute arising from these Terms in the appropriate courts of that state.

Recollect is developed and operated by Mythos United LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Recollect (“the App”).

Account Information: Email address and password for authentication.
User Content: Photos, events, mood records, medication details, and personal notes you choose to submit.
Device & Usage Data: Non-identifying data about your device and how you use the App, used to improve performance and features.
Timezone Information: Collected to schedule reminders and manage medication resets according to your local time.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Operate and maintain core features like reminders, notifications, and memory recollection.
Communicate with you about support, updates, or important notices.
Analyze usage and improve app functionality and future features.

3. How We Store and Protect Data

Your data is securely stored using trusted third-party services, including:

Firebase
Google Cloud
Google Workspace
Flutter (application framework)

We use encryption in transit and at rest (where supported) and apply industry-standard security practices to protect your personal data.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data only:

With trusted third-party providers solely for delivering App features.
As required by law, subpoena, or government request.
To protect the rights, safety, or property of users or Mythos United LLC.

5. Your Rights & Choices

You may access, update, or delete your account information at any time through the App. If you need help managing or permanently deleting your data, email us at recollect-support@mythosunited.org.

6. GDPR Notice (EU Users)

If you are an EU resident, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including:

Right to access, correct, or delete your data.
Right to restrict or object to certain types of processing.

7. Children’s Privacy

Recollect is not intended for children under 13 without verified parental consent. If we learn that a child has submitted personal data without permission, we will delete that data immediately. Please contact us if you believe this has occurred.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide the App’s features. All user data is permanently deleted upon account deletion.
